Train tickets to Prayagraj for the Sangam
Prayagraj has six stations, and during the Magh Mela the right one depends on the direction you are travelling. Prayagraj Junction, about 8 km from the Sangam, has the Vande Bharats and Rajdhanis; Prayagraj Sangam is the nearest; and Chheoki serves the Mumbai trains that bypass the junction. We book the trains for families and groups, and tell you which station your train uses.

The railhead for Prayagraj
Prayagraj Junction (PRYJ)
About 8 km from the Sangam. The Vande Bharats, the Rajdhanis and the Prayagraj Express from Delhi stop or start here.
Prayagraj Sangam (PYGS)
About 2.6 km from the Sangam — the nearest station. Trains from the Lucknow side end here.
Prayagraj Chheoki (PCOI)

Rambagh, Naini & Subedarganj
Rambagh serves the Varanasi line; Subedarganj is used as a stand-in terminal during the melas.

Booking a Prayagraj yatra
- Magh Mela 2027 bathing days (from panchang calendars; the Mela authority confirms closer to the time): 15 January, 22 January, Mauni Amavasya on 6 February (the biggest day), 11 February, 20 February and 6 March. Booking for Mauni Amavasya opens around 8 December 2026.
- During the mela, Railways moves some trains to Subedarganj and runs one-way entry at Prayagraj Junction — book to a station on your onward direction and expect to walk.
- 2027 is not a Kumbh year at Prayagraj — the Ardh Kumbh is at Haridwar.
How we book a yatra group
Families, mandalis, sangats and company groups — the same care whatever the size.
Many PNRs, booked together
Every booking holds up to six travellers — four on Tatkal — so a group is several bookings made together, with families kept side by side wherever the train allows.
Elders in the right berth
First AC and 2A for elders who need comfort and lower berths, 3A and Sleeper where that suits the group. We ask about every traveller's needs before booking.
One list on WhatsApp
Every PNR reaches the organiser on WhatsApp, with a list of who is in which coach and berth — ready to share with the group.
Each traveller counts
Only a confirmed berth counts, passenger by passenger. Anyone left without one gets a 100% refund, even if the others travel.
Out, onward and home
Many yatras link several places. We book every leg — out, between shrines and home — so the whole journey is planned before anyone sets off.
Invoices for trusts
When a trust, mandal or company books, we issue a GST invoice.
Only a confirmed berth counts. RAC doesn't.
App guarantees treat RAC as a success: you share a berth overnight and they pay nothing. We don't. If we can't deliver a confirmed (CNF) berth, you get a 100% refund, no questions asked — usually the same day, and always within 48 hours of asking — or the alternative that suits you better.
