The rail desk for Aerocity and the Dwarka convention belt
Aerocity is where India flies in: hotels, airlines and conference venues beside the airport, with Yashobhoomi three stops down the line. Many of the people who arrive here by air leave by train — delegates heading to Agra or Jaipur, hotel teams going home for the festivals. We book that rail side from our licensed desk in Karol Bagh.
The Airport Express is your railway connection
There's no main terminal near the airport. The Airport Express metro does most of the work.
New Delhi (NDLS)
The Airport Express runs from Delhi Aerocity straight to New Delhi station with no change — the quickest way to Delhi's main terminal from here. It arrives on the Ajmeri Gate side, so check which platform the train leaves from.
Delhi Cantt (DEC)
The closest mainline terminal by road, and the starting point of the Vande Bharat to Jaipur and Ajmer.
Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM)
Many trains to Mumbai, Goa and the south leave from here. A cab from Aerocity — allow for the Ring Road.
Anand Vihar (ANVT)
The far side of the city, where many eastbound trains start. From Aerocity it's the booking most likely to cause a missed train, so we flag it and build in the time.
Conference teams: book the rail legs with the rooms
Delegates fly in, but the side trips and the journeys home are often by train — and they get booked last, after the venue, the rooms and the programme. By then, the Agra and Jaipur day trains around a big event are already full.
Give us the delegate numbers when you confirm the venue. We keep the rail plan alongside your event plan, book in stages as names firm up, and send one invoice at the end.
The reservation window opens 60 days before travel. For an event with a fixed date, that's the day to book.
The businesses we book for here
Hotels & hospitality
Aerocity's hotel district employs large teams, many from Uttarakhand and the eastern states. Their travel home concentrates in the same few festival weeks every year.
Conference & event organisers
Delegates at the Aerocity hotels and Yashobhoomi who need rail legs — post-event trips to Agra and Jaipur, or the journey home. Delegate lists change late, so we book in stages.
Airlines & aviation services
Ground handling, maintenance and airline offices with shift-based staff, travelling around roster changes at short notice.
Air cargo & logistics
Freight forwarders around Mahipalpur and the cargo terminals: staff rotation and heavy festival-season demand.
Regional offices
Offices in the Aerocity business district whose visitors fly in, then go on by train to meetings in Jaipur, Chandigarh or Dehradun.
Where travellers go from Aerocity
- Delhi – Agra by fast train: the classic post-conference day trip
- Delhi Cantt – Jaipur & Ajmer by Vande Bharat
- Delhi – Haridwar, Rishikesh & Dehradun for offsites
- Delhi – Amritsar & Chandigarh
- Delhi – Kathgodam, Patna, Kolkata & Guwahati for staff going home
- Delhi – Varanasi & Ayodhya for delegates adding a pilgrimage
Not every 'authorised agent' is the same
IRCTC registration is widely held and easy to obtain. A licence from Indian Railways is neither.
IRCTC Authorised Agent
Registration with IRCTC for e-ticketing. Low barrier to obtain and widely held across the trade — which is why, on its own, it tells you nothing about a vendor's depth.
YTSK (PPP) — licensed by Indian Railways
Not a registration with a subsidiary. A licence awarded by Indian Railways under the Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra public–private partnership, on terms carrying a substantial fee and deposit. Few ticketing operators hold one.
Us vs. the average train agent
Every row is something you can hold us to in the contract.
| Average train agent | Rail Yatri Suvidha Kendra | |
|---|---|---|
| Authorisation | IRCTC registration only | YTSK (PPP) licensed by Indian Railways, plus IRCTC authorised agent |
| Focus | Rail is one line among flights, hotels, visas and packages | Rail only. There is no other desk to prioritise over yours |
| Conflict of interest | Also sells flights and corporate travel — a live route to your client | No air desk, no packages, no corporate travel arm. We cannot become your competitor |
| Tatkal readiness | Best effort, whoever is free at the time | Agents at the terminal for the 10:00 AC and 11:00 Sleeper windows, every day |
| Waitlist handling | Booked, then left to the passenger to watch | Tracked to chart preparation, with status pushed to you rather than waiting to be asked |
| Quota strategy | Books whatever was asked for | GNWL, PQWL, RLWL and TQWL behave differently — we route bookings toward the ones that actually clear |
| Cancellations & TDR | Handed back to you to file | Filed, tracked and reconciled as part of the service |
| Invoicing | Ad hoc, per booking | Monthly, GST compliant, with a reconciliation statement in your format |
| Escalation | Whoever picks up the phone | A named contact, reachable when a passenger is stranded outside office hours |
| Peak season | Same capacity as any other month | Surge capacity planned for Chhath, Diwali, Holi and the summer rush |

What our clients say
“I travel Delhi–Mumbai almost every week. When Tatkal sells out in seconds, these are the people I message. They have confirmed seats for me more times than I can count, on Rajdhani and Vande Bharat both.”
“We had 11 people travelling for a wedding and were stuck on a long waitlist. I sent one WhatsApp message with everyone's details and they coordinated the whole thing. Almost all confirmed.”
Request a proposal
Tell us your volume and we'll come back with service charge bands, credit terms and an SLA — not a generic brochure.
Group booking request
One journey, many passengers — offsites, conferences, weddings, educational and religious travel.
Asked by Aerocity & Dwarka teams
Do you have an office at Aerocity?+
No. Our licensed desk is in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, and everything runs over WhatsApp, phone and email. Rail booking doesn't need a local office — Indian Railways is one national reservation system. What matters is the licence and whether someone answers when a delegate's plans change late at night.
What's the best way to get delegates from Aerocity to New Delhi station?+
The Airport Express. It runs from Delhi Aerocity to New Delhi with no change and arrives on the Ajmeri Gate side. For trains from Delhi Cantt a cab is quicker; for Anand Vihar, allow real time across the city. We put the right advice on each booking.
Can you book rail for a hundred conference delegates?+
Yes, in stages. A normal booking holds up to six passengers (four on Tatkal), so a big group is many bookings made together. For very large groups, a whole coach can be booked under Indian Railways' Full Tariff Rate scheme — we'll tell you when that's worth it.
Do you invoice the organiser or each delegate?+
Either — one GST invoice to the organiser, or delegates pay individually. We agree it before the first booking.
