Train tickets to Parasnath for Sammed Shikharji
Twenty of the twenty-four Tirthankaras attained moksha on Sammed Shikharji, and Digambar and Shwetambar Jains alike regard it as the holiest of tirths. The railhead is Parasnath station at Isri, roughly 23–25 km by road from Madhuban at the foot of the hill — and, unusually for a pilgrimage station, a Rajdhani stops there. We book the trains for families and whole sanghs.

The railhead for Sammed Shikharji
Parasnath (PNME), Isri
The railhead, roughly 23–25 km by road from Madhuban, the base for the yatra (one source gives less, so check a map). The Howrah Rajdhani from Delhi stops here, along with daily First AC trains from Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur.
Dhanbad (DHN) & Gomoh (GMO)
Larger junctions further away. The Sealdah Rajdhani stops at Dhanbad and the Bhubaneswar Rajdhanis at Gomoh — useful when the Parasnath trains are full.
Giridih (GRD)
Closer to Madhuban on the map, but only a few unreserved local trains run there — not a practical railhead.
Madhuban & the yatra
The parikrama of the tonks is commonly about 27 km on foot — up, around the tonks and down — and dolis are available. Plan to reach Madhuban the day before.

Booking a Sammed Shikharji yatra
- October to March is the season for Shikharji; in the monsoon the path is slippery.
- There is no direct train from Surat, Pune, Bengaluru or Chennai. We book via Mumbai, Delhi or Kolkata, or to Dhanbad, whichever confirms.
- Pawapuri and Rajgir are on a nearby line, and the Parasnath Express links Shikharji with Shri Mahaveerji and the Gujarat tirths — we book the whole circuit.
- Diwali — Sunday 8 November 2026, Mahavira's nirvana — and the weeks around it are busy on these routes. Book as early as the dates allow.
How we book a sangh
The same care on every booking — whether it is a family of six or a sangh of two hundred.
Many PNRs, booked together
Every booking holds up to six yatris — four on Tatkal — so a sangh is several bookings made together, with families kept side by side wherever the train allows.
Elders in the right berth
First AC and 2A for elders who need comfort and lower berths, 3A and Sleeper where that suits the group. We ask about every yatri's needs before booking.
One list on WhatsApp
Every PNR reaches the organiser on WhatsApp, with a list of who is in which coach and berth — ready to share with the sangh.
Each yatri counts
Only a confirmed berth counts, passenger by passenger. Anyone in the sangh left without one gets a 100% refund, even if the others travel.
Onward and return together
Long yatras link several tirths. We book every leg — out, between tirths and home — so the whole journey is planned before anyone sets off.
Invoices for trusts
When a trust, samaj or company books, we issue a GST invoice.
Only a confirmed berth counts. RAC doesn't.
App guarantees treat RAC as a success: you share a berth overnight and they pay nothing. We don't. If we can't deliver a confirmed (CNF) berth, you get a 100% refund, no questions asked — usually the same day, and always within 48 hours of asking — or the alternative that suits you better.
