Three stations, a few kilometres apart
Jodhpur Junction is the main one. Bhagat Ki Kothi is 4 km out on the Mumbai and Gujarat side, and Raika Bagh 2 km out on the Delhi side. Which one your ticket says depends on the train.

Direct trains to Jodhpur, by city
Jodhpur has two Vande Bharats and no Rajdhani, Shatabdi or Duronto. Everything else is an express with berths. There's no direct train to Udaipur.
From Delhi
The Vande Bharat from Delhi Cantt takes about 8 hours, chair car only, every day except Tuesday. The overnight trains take about 10 hours: the Mandore Express from Old Delhi and a superfast from Delhi Sarai Rohilla, both daily, First AC to Sleeper.
From Jaipur
The Vande Bharat takes about 4 hours. A daily superfast starts at each end and takes about 5, and the Ranthambore and Marudhar also run between the two.
From Ahmedabad
The second Vande Bharat runs to Sabarmati in about 6 hours, every day except Tuesday. Daily expresses also run to Sabarmati, and the Suryanagari stops at Ahmedabad Junction.
From Mumbai
The Suryanagari Express runs daily between Jodhpur and Bandra Terminus, about 16 hours, and the Ranakpur Express daily to Dadar. The weekly Bandra trains use Bhagat Ki Kothi.
From Jaisalmer
About five hours, on trains coming through from Delhi and Sabarmati. None of the express trains starts at Jodhpur.
From Kolkata
The Howrah–Jodhpur Superfast, four days a week, about 29 hours. A Howrah–Barmer train also stops twice a week.
The trip home starts at Jodhpur
The main trains back to Delhi, Jaipur and Sabarmati start at Jodhpur Junction, both Vande Bharats included, and so does the daily Bandra train. Book the return on one of them and the group is on the starting station's quota, with a plain waitlist (GNWL) if it comes to that. It opens 60 days before the return date, on its own morning.

Booking opens 60 days ahead at 8:00 AM. Christmas and New Year dates open between 25 October and 1 November, and the Republic Day weekend in the last week of November.

Winter is tour season. The overnight trains give the group berths; the Vande Bharat is a daytime run with seats.
Office trips and offsites
January to March, before the financial year closes. The Vande Bharat from Delhi Cantt takes about 8 hours, in chair car.
Families and wedding parties
Christmas, New Year and the Republic Day weekend fill first, and Rajasthan's wedding season runs through the winter.
Booking a Jodhpur group
Going on to Jaisalmer? Every express on that leg comes through from elsewhere, so from Jodhpur the waitlist is usually a pooled or remote-location one (PQWL or RLWL), which moves more slowly. Book it on its own opening morning too.
There's no direct train between Jodhpur and Udaipur. A circuit that takes in both changes at Ajmer, or does that leg by road.
The Vande Bharat doesn't run on Tuesdays and has no berths. For a big group, or a night journey, the Mandore or the Sarai Rohilla superfast is the train.
Check the station on Mumbai tickets. The daily train uses Jodhpur Junction, but the weekly Bandra trains start and finish at Bhagat Ki Kothi.
Only a confirmed berth counts. RAC doesn't.

Not New Delhi. The Vande Bharat runs from Delhi Cantt, the Mandore Express from Old Delhi (Delhi Junction), and the superfast and Salasar Express from Delhi Sarai Rohilla. Some also stop at Delhi Cantt.
How long is the train from Delhi to Jodhpur?+
About 8 hours on the Vande Bharat and about 10 hours on the overnight Mandore Express or the Sarai Rohilla superfast.
Can a group book the Vande Bharat?+
Yes, in chair car or executive chair car. It runs every day except Tuesday and has had 20 coaches since May 2026. There are no berths, so it suits a day journey.
Is there a train from Jodhpur to Udaipur?+
Not a direct one. Trains from Jodhpur reach Ajmer, and several daily trains run from Ajmer to Udaipur. Each leg is its own booking.
Which Jodhpur station is my train?+
