Who travels Bengaluru to Coimbatore, and when

Two day trains start in Bengaluru for Coimbatore itself: the Uday Express from KSR via KR Puram, and the Vande Bharat that starts at Bengaluru Cantonment in this direction, via Hosur. The KSR–Ernakulam Vande Bharat stops at Coimbatore too. Overnight, the Island Express, the Yesvantpur trains to Kannur and Kochuveli and the SMVT–Kochuveli Humsafar all start in Bengaluru and stop at Coimbatore Junction. Skip the weekly Kongu Express here — it shows no Bengaluru quota at all.

Vande Bharat or Uday to Coimbatore?+
The Vande Bharat is the faster day train and starts at Bengaluru Cantonment, via Hosur. The Uday starts at KSR and runs via KR Puram, with chair car and second sitting. Both start in Bengaluru, so both carry the main quota — we check whichever has room on your date.
My train says Podanur, not Coimbatore. Is that right?+
Yes, if it is a Kerala train that bypasses Coimbatore Junction. Podanur is in south Coimbatore; plan the last stretch into the city, or pick a train that stops at the Junction if that suits you better.
