IRCTC Meri Yatra portal for CAPF personnel: how it works, and when a booking desk helps

Meri Yatra (pmf.irctc.co.in) is IRCTC's train booking portal for the Central Armed Police Forces, with a separate login for CRPF, NDRF, Assam Rifles, CISF, BSF and ITBP. It lets eligible journeys be booked online instead of with a paper railway warrant. For normal bookings with seats available, it works well. For Tatkal tomorrow, a waiting-list ticket, or a date you cannot move before your leave, a booking desk that works the booking for you can help. RYSK is an independent, licensed train ticket booking desk. We are not the official force portal, and we do not claim any railway quota.

The problem

When the portal is enough, and when to message us

Use Meri Yatra when

Your journey is eligible on the portal, seats are available on your train, and you have time to book it yourself.

Message us for Tatkal

Tatkal opens the day before travel and sells out in minutes. Send us the request before 9:30 am (AC) or 10:30 am (Sleeper), and our desk takes it from there.

Message us for a waiting-list ticket

If your ticket is waiting-listed and your leave date is close, we look across other trains, stations and dates and only count a confirmed berth.

Message us for family and groups

Family members, journeys the portal does not cover, and groups from one unit can all be booked through us on WhatsApp.

Only a confirmed berth counts. RAC doesn't.

App guarantees treat RAC as a success: you share a berth overnight and they pay nothing. We don't. If we can't deliver a confirmed (CNF) berth, you get a 100% refund, no questions asked — usually the same day, and always within 48 hours of asking — or the alternative that suits you better.

Why it pays

What you get

Confirmed berth, or full refund

Send your Tatkal request early

For AC Tatkal, message us before 9:30 am. For Sleeper Tatkal, before 10:30 am. We can sometimes take a request up to 9:50 am (AC) or 10:50 am (Sleeper), but it is rushed and may not work.

FAQ

Questions personnel ask

What is the Meri Yatra portal?+

Meri Yatra (pmf.irctc.co.in) is IRCTC's train booking portal for the Central Armed Police Forces. It has separate logins for CRPF, NDRF, Assam Rifles, CISF, BSF and ITBP. CRPF and IRCTC introduced online booking with a warrant number in 2018, so that personnel do not need a paper railway warrant at the station.

Are you the Meri Yatra portal?+

No. RYSK is an independent, licensed booking desk and an authorised IRCTC ticketing agent. The Meri Yatra portal is run by IRCTC. For a login problem on the portal, contact your unit or IRCTC.

Why use a booking desk if I have Meri Yatra?+

For normal bookings, you may not need us. People message us for Tatkal on short notice, a waiting-list ticket close to their leave, a fixed date that must work, family members' tickets, or a group from one unit. We only count a confirmed berth.

Is there a special rate for serving personnel?+

Yes, for serving personnel only, on proof of service such as a valid service ID card or leave certificate. Ask on WhatsApp for the current rate.

How do I know a train ticket is real and not a fake PNR?+

Check the PNR on the Indian Railways enquiry (call 139) or on the IRCTC website before you pay or travel. Never pay a stranger at a station, and be careful with anyone who asks for much more than the ticket costs. If you are unsure, send us the PNR on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it shows.
