Train booking for weddings: the baraat and guests, booked together
A wedding party is too big for one ticket: six passengers to a booking, so forty guests are at least seven bookings. We make them all at 8:00 AM on the morning your date opens, 60 days before the train leaves, out and back, and send every guest's coach and berth on WhatsApp. A confirmed berth or a 100% refund for every passenger.

What makes a wedding party harder to book than a holiday
The muhurat sets the booking date
Booking opens 60 days before the train leaves. On the big muhurat dates of the season, wedding trains fill on that opening morning, so we work out the date with you and book that morning.
Out together, back together
The baraat goes out as one group and comes home as one, often a day or two after the wedding. The return opens on its own morning, and we book it then, so nobody is left hoping on the way home.
Guests from more than one city
Relatives come in from different cities. Each city is its own set of bookings, and we plan them all to arrive the day before the functions start.
Elders and children
We ask for lower berths for elders wherever the train allows, and book children by their correct age.
Six to a booking
Every booking holds up to six passengers. They all go in within minutes of each other, in the same class, from the same boarding station.
Guests on different days
Send the guest list by travel date, not as one block. Guests travelling on different days are different bookings, and each opens on its own morning.

November to February: wedding trains fill on opening day
Trains out of Delhi to Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar fill fastest around the big muhurat dates, and destination weddings fill the winter trains to Rajasthan and Goa.
When does booking open for your group?
Pick your travel date to see the morning we need to book.
Try the train first. We tell you on opening morning whether it's confirmed. If it isn't, there are still about two months to book a flight for the same date, and a day or two that far out rarely changes the fare much.
Count from the day the train leaves its starting station. A few short-distance trains open later than 60 days.

Booked on opening morning
Every booking goes in at 8:00 AM on the day your date opens. Each guest's PNR, coach and berth come to you on WhatsApp, in a list you can share with the family.
What it costs
There is no fixed wedding package price and no group discount on ordinary bookings. Each guest pays the Railways fare for their class and route, the same fare shown on IRCTC, plus our per-passenger service fee. We send the total in writing before you pay anything.
A whole coach (bogie) for the baraat?
Many families ask. The Railways do hire out whole coaches under the Full Tariff Rate (FTR) scheme, booked with IRCTC between six months and 30 days ahead and paid for as a whole coach, used or not. For most wedding parties, ordinary bookings made on opening morning are simpler, and they hold parties of 60 and more. If yours is bigger, tell us and we'll say honestly what makes sense.
Send the wedding details
WhatsApp is fastest. If you'd rather write it all down once, use the form and we'll reply on WhatsApp or by phone.
Only a confirmed berth counts. RAC doesn't.
App guarantees treat RAC as a success: you share a berth overnight and they pay nothing. We don't. If we can't deliver a confirmed (CNF) berth, you get a 100% refund, no questions asked — usually the same day, and always within 48 hours of asking — or the alternative that suits you better.
Wedding train bookings, answered
How do I book train tickets for a wedding party?+
Send us the guest list by travel date on WhatsApp: how many people, from where to where, on which day and in which class. Booking opens 60 days before the train leaves, at 8:00 AM. That morning we make every booking for the party together, out and back, and send each PNR with the guest's coach and berth.
Can I book more than 6 tickets for the baraat?+
Not on one booking: Indian Railways allows up to six passengers on a booking, four on Tatkal. A baraat of 40 is at least seven bookings. We make them all within minutes of each other on opening morning, in the same class and from the same station.
How much does train booking for a marriage cost?+
There's no fixed package price. Each guest pays the Railways fare for their class and route, the same as on IRCTC, plus our per-passenger service fee. Send the guest count, route, date and class, and we send the total in writing before you pay anything.
Is there a group discount for wedding parties?+
No. Indian Railways withdrew most concessions in 2020 and gives no group discount on ordinary bookings. What the party gets from us is every booking made the morning booking opens, and a confirmed berth or a refund for every passenger.
Can we book a whole coach (bogie) for the wedding?+
The Railways hire out whole coaches under the Full Tariff Rate (FTR) scheme, booked with IRCTC between six months and 30 days ahead and paid for as a whole coach. Most wedding parties don't need one: ordinary bookings made on opening morning hold parties of 60 and more.
Can the whole baraat sit together?+
We give it the best chance: every booking made at once, the morning booking opens, in a class with space. On ordinary bookings nobody can guarantee it, because the railway system allots the berths. You see who is in which coach and berth before you pay the balance.
Do we need to show the wedding card?+
Not for tickets booked through us. We need each guest's name, age and gender, and passengers carry their original photo ID on the journey, as for any train ticket. A wedding card is only asked for in the railway's own group booking, which is applied for in person.
What if some guests' tickets don't confirm?+
We tell you before you pay if a date can't realistically hold the whole party, and suggest the train or date that can. The promise works passenger by passenger: any guest left without a confirmed berth gets a 100% refund, or the alternative that suits them better.
