LTT, Kurla or Thane?
LTT is the terminal. The suburban stations around it get no long-distance trains, and most LTT trains stop next at Thane or Kalyan.
Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)
Central Railway's long-distance terminal at Kurla, with about 26 pairs of long-distance trains a day. It starts trains to Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ballia, Patna, Rajgir, Jaynagar, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Haridwar, Shalimar near Kolkata, Kerala, Mangaluru and Goa.
Kurla, Ghatkopar & Tilak Nagar
Suburban stations only — no long-distance train stops at any of them. Tilak Nagar on the Harbour line has a footbridge straight into LTT, and Kurla is the next station along.
Thane & Kalyan
Most LTT trains to UP and Bihar stop at Thane and Kalyan on the way out; the Konkan trains stop at Thane and Panvel instead. The Prayagraj Duronto and one Gorakhpur superfast make no stop until well outside Mumbai.
No metro
LTT has no metro station; a planned Kurla Terminus stop was dropped in 2020. Come by the Harbour line to Tilak Nagar, or by road.

No — no Rajdhani or Vande Bharat starts at LTT. For Delhi, the Rajdhanis leave from Mumbai Central and CSMT. From LTT, the twice-weekly Haridwar AC Superfast calls at Hazrat Nizamuddin.
Can I board LTT trains at Thane or Kalyan?+
Most of the UP and Bihar trains stop at both, and the Konkan trains stop at Thane and Panvel. A few, like the Prayagraj Duronto, don't stop until well outside Mumbai. Blocks at LTT sometimes make trains start or end at Thane for a few days, so we confirm the station for your date.
