Mumbai to Shirdi train tickets
Sai Baba's Shirdi is a pilgrimage many Mumbai families make again and again, and the Vande Bharat has made it a comfortable day trip. The catch is that Shirdi's own station has few trains — while two junctions nearby have many more.

Who travels Mumbai to Shirdi, and when
Thursdays, Sai Baba's day, are the busiest of every week. Beyond that, Guru Purnima, Ram Navami, Vijayadashami — the anniversary of Sai Baba's samadhi — and the New Year bring the biggest crowds.
The Vande Bharat to Sainagar Shirdi is a daytime chair-car run and the easiest booking when it has seats. When it doesn't, the choice widens to the many trains calling at Kopargaon and Manmad — booked to an intermediate station, where the quota and the waitlist behave differently. We'll tell you which numbers are worth holding.

Booking Mumbai–Shirdi without getting caught out
- Check Kopargaon and Manmad as well as Shirdi. Far more trains stop there — Kopargaon is a short drive away, Manmad a longer one.
- Going on a Thursday? Book early — it's the busiest day of the week for darshan and for the trains.
- Book the return with the outbound. Trains back to Mumbai fill fast at weekends.

Mumbai to Shirdi, answered
Can I do Shirdi as a day trip from Mumbai?+
Yes, on the Vande Bharat — out in the morning and back the same day. On busy darshan days an overnight stay is more relaxed, especially with elderly family.
Kopargaon or Manmad — which is closer to Shirdi?+
Kopargaon, by some distance. Manmad is a bigger junction with more trains but a longer drive. We pick whichever gets you a confirmed berth on your date.
