The honest picture
Indian Railways allows at most six passengers on one booking, so a group of 400 is at least 67 bookings, and each one needs berths on the same trains. Nobody can force a whole large group onto one train on one day if the berths are not there, and anyone who says they can is not being straight with you.
What a large group can do is give the booking room to move. The more your group can shift, split or spread, the more of it we can seat together. That is what we work out, before you pay anything.

A group does not have to board in one town. Splitting it across stations along the line opens berths that one station does not have, and the group meets at the destination.

Several trains and a mix of classes carry a group that no single train can. We choose the mix with the best real chance of confirmed berths.

Two or three batches on different trains or days, arriving together or in stages, works when the programme allows it.

Not by force. It depends on how many berths are left on your route and date, and a group of that size usually cannot all travel on one train. We look at the whole map and tell you what can work: other dates, other boarding points, several trains and classes, or batches.
