Dhanbad Junction (DHN)
The start of the trains to Alappuzha, Patna, Firozpur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi and Howrah, and of weekly trains to Mumbai LTT, Kolhapur and Coimbatore. The Howrah and Sealdah Rajdhanis, the Howrah–Ranchi Shatabdi and the Gaya–Howrah Vande Bharat stop here.
The catch: Delhi
No train to Delhi starts at Dhanbad. The Rajdhanis begin at Howrah and Sealdah and give Dhanbad a remote-location share, which tends to clear worse than the general list at the start. We check it first, and tell you when a seat is a long shot.
New Delhi and Anand Vihar Terminal
